Pro Tools: If the drawn automation is jagged and saw-like, press Off then Write again on the Vocal Rider automation. This has been bothering me for quite some time and I just want to start using this drive because my SSD does not have any space to record. Pro Tools: While playing a loop with Vocal Rider set to Write, and Pro Tools set to Write, only the first run will write automation the second run will not Write and will not Read, but the Rider Fader will still move. Then i played the song, and I see the bar for the automation of. I put automation as 'write' on the bus as well. Then on the bus, I added the rider fader as an automation track. So I made a bus for my vocals, slapped the stereo vocal rider on there, and put the thing on 'write'. Instead of manually riding the physical mixing console fader, or tediously drawing in each individual level change on a DAW track, Vocal Rider does it for you, making it a true timesaver. I just bought the Waves vocal rider, hoping it could write automation which i could then afterwards slightly alter. Simply put, Vocal Rider rides the levels of vocal tracks, automatically. If permitted, set the volume(s) in question to "R" (record) in the Workspace." Vocal Rider is the first of Waves pioneering new series of Mix tools.

When I try to save a new session to this drive it says "Session must be on an audio record volume. I have tried running it as an administrator and still nothing has worked for me. Did you register iLok with the iLok company My understanding is the software can only be put on one iLok which then is carried around or installed in the rack on which ever console you are working on, but I could be wrong as I am sorta of new to the iLok thing myself. Some people have told me to simply change the letter to "R" which means Record in the workspace menu, but my drive simply just does not show up in the workspace menu. Waves 9, Licenses & iLoks VENUE Live Sound Systems. I formatted it NFTS like I was told with "Perform a quick format" checked and default allocation size. The problem is I can not get Pro Tools to see this drive. When I play it back, I can hear the beat and my vocals, just cant SEE the vocals track. That is until my Record waves wasnt showing up, even though I recorded my vocals on it. After watching a quick video on the basics, I thought I was all set.

I have a second Hard Drive (not external) that has 500GB free and is just waiting to be used by Pro Tools 10 :). So I recently got into Pro tools First because I want to know how to record/produce/engineer my own songs and decided it was a great place to start. Alright I have my main Solid State Drive which has windows installed on it as well as Pro Tools 10.
